Our Primary Goal is to provide the
residents of
to protect life and property during natural or man made disasters.
Whenever there is an event that requires more response than is normal or
routine, it is called a disaster.

Programs
The four phases of Emergency Management are addressed
by our programs
· Planning
· Mitigation
· Response
· Recover
We have an active Local Emergency
Planning Committee (LEPC)
this group of public safety professionals and private sector volunteers meet
regularly to update operations plans, response plans, and provide public
awareness of hazards and preparedness issues. We are always alert to local
hazards and have completed a flood hazard analysis, and are presently engaged
in preparing a wild land fire hazard analysis.
We have a newly completed Hazardous Material Response plan. Our operations plan
includes such things as evacuation and shelter procedures, communication
procedures, a resource manual,

Amateur radio is an important part of
Emergency Management.
We encourage all local licensed Amateurs to participate in radio preparedness
activities, nets, classes and exercises.
Also we encourage RACES membership.
